Personalised Gifts
For my cousin's third birthday, I bought a set of blank wooden Russian dolls and decorated them with underwater characters, including herself as a mermaid. I used acrylic paint for the dolls and varnished them with a clear gloss to help the designs last through the wear-and-tear of playtime.
Another personalised present I made for my cousin was a set of building blocks for her second birthday. As with the Russian dolls, the blocks were made using acrylic paint and clear gloss, and feature different designs on each side including numbers, flowers, and rabbits.
For her first birthday, I personalised a photo album for my cousin featuring photographs from her first year. This gift allowed me to use my skills in typography to transform a plain album into a more personal present.
