This collaborative partnership began when a friend of mine requested some custom illustrations to use on social media as educational aides to teach English as a second language. Amy provided me with a list of words surrounding a particular theme which I then created illustrations for, accompanied by titles and simple phrases to help the viewer understand the context of each word.
I used bright colours and a simple style with these illustrations to communicate each word or phrase in an uncomplicated way, making the images accessible to a range of viewers of all ages and capabilities.
For the first set of illustrations, I was asked to look at the theme of football to tie in with the 2022 World Cup.
For my second collaboration with Amy, she requested a set of illustrations themed around Christmas, allowing me to experiment with colour and a playful style.
